Prof.Dr.h.c Dr.-Ing.Eckart Uhlmann Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK), Berlin Chair of Machine Tools and Factory Management (IWF), Technical University Berlin .
From 1986 until 1994 he worked as a scientific engineer and chief engineer at the Department of Manufacturing Technology at IWF, Technical University Berlin.
On September 1st 1997, Professor Uhlmann became director of the Fraunhofer IPK and director of the chair of the department for Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology at IWF of the Technical University Berlin in the Production Technology Center.
Since 2008 Professor Uhlmann is fellow member of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP).
In May 2012, the Faculty of Engineering of Tongji University Shanghai, China, appointed Professor Uhlmann as Advisory Dean.
In 2012 he became a member of acatech, the National Acadamy of Science and Engineering of Germany.
Since 2014 Prof. Uhlmann is President of the German Academic Society for Production Engineering WGP.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Knothe is head of the department Business Process and Factory Management at Fraunhofer IPK, Corporate Management Division and is responsible for the appliance methodology of the Enterprise Modelling Tool MO²GO.
After finishing his study in Information Technology for Production he started his career at Fraunhofer IPK in 1998.
Prof. Knothe is lecturing at several Universities in Germany and abroad and since 2017 he holds a honorary Professorship at University of Applied Science in Wildau.
He coordinates several national and international research projects according to Industry 4.0 in Germany.
His industrial background comes from leading various business and process development projects in IT-Service, Aerospace, Automotive and Process Industry.
Prof. Knothe holds several inventions in intelligent manufacturing, e.g. self-organized planning and control for maintenance repair and overhaul of transportation systems like aircrafts.
He is the Chairman of the German Association for Interoperability (DFI e.V.) and as a member of ISO involved into International Standardization regarding information processing for production.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tang Dunbing
Dr. Tang presently serves as Vice Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NAUU) and Vice Director of NAUU Wuxi Institute.
From July 2002 to February 2004, Dr. Tang was the Humboldt Scholar at Aachen University of Germany and the Fraunhofer Institute, Germany.
From March 2004 to December 2005, he worked at the Cranfield University, UK; mainly cooperating with Airbus.
Since January 2006, Dr. Tang has been serving as Professor at the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School of NAUU. In the past, he has worked as vice director of the Department of Science and Technology of NAUU (in-charge of production- related operations, education and research); academic leader of the technological innovation team for the Qinglan Project of Jiangsu Province for Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Equipment; leading expert among young and mid- aged talents for national scientific and technological innovation; distinguished professor of Jiangsu Province; and a member of the Jiangsu Province 333 Project. Moreover, he has been the winner of Jiangsu Province Outstanding Youth Fund; the title of Excellent Educational Talent for the New Century; and National Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
